About Terri

Terri is a California-born Australian living in the Noosa Hinterland of Queensland, Australia. A multifaced individual, she’s fully lived the roles of professional, academic, mum, equestrian, sportswoman, surf lifesaver, and at last, self-taught painter, working in oils and mixed media.

From riding bareback through redwood forests in her youth tocompeting in eventing, horses have filled her most treasured chapters.  Her understanding and ability to represent their character and physicality has led to her specialising in equine portraiture. She has attracted attention for her statement size works and contemporary approach to classical styling. Terri is sought after for commissions which insightfully exemplify revered horses as they are understood by their people.

Terri’s art also reveals her sense of adventure and appreciation of natural environments, especially for her beloved ocean where she swims or surfs most mornings.  In her nature themed art, she sets out to share the beauty in what she sees and experiences with an ultimate aim of inspiring conservation.
